The bottle is made from a medical grade polymer without BPA.
The filter element is designed to remove or significantly reduce toxic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, detergents, pesticides, herbicides, chlorides, pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, tastes and odors unpleasant, sediment and chlorine.
Uses the same type of filtration as large Black Berkey ® filters.
The Sport Berkey ® bottle has a shelf life of 50 years.
Sport Berkey ® bottle refill capacity:
Untreated water: approximately 160 refills.
Tap water: approximately 640 refills.
Notes: Do not allow the Sport Berkey ® bottle to freeze, place it in a microwave oven, or run hot water through the filter.
Do not store the filled bottle lying down or upside down, water may leak from the air release valve. System not compatible with sea water.
